Meta Muse tops the US free chart, and the customer acquisition gateway is shifting
Meta's Muse assistant now tops the US App Store free chart and can operate computers, turning AI assistants into the layer between customers and businesses.

A keyring-sized device with a 2-inch touchscreen and 5G, shipping in December: that is Meta's Muse Charm, unveiled at Connect 2026. The AI assistant behind it, Muse, has already topped the US App Store free chart and expanded into computer control. AI assistants are becoming the intermediary layer between customers and services, which means businesses that live on customer acquisition need to recalculate where the gateway sits.
The assistant now has its own inbox
Meta put a lot on the table: Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses without a camera at $349, upgraded Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 glasses at $449, Meta VR Glasses at $1,299.99 shipping in spring 2027, and the Muse Charm, shipping in December. Muse will cover Meta's entire line of AI glasses, has already topped the US App Store free chart, has been given its own independent email address, and has expanded into computer control, including controlling a Mac. According to a Sina AI hourly news item on 26 September, Muse drove Meta's share price higher.
The hardware is not the point. The actions it takes over are.
An assistant with its own email address can be contacted. One that can operate a computer can act on someone's behalf. Together, that means it is not just answering questions but doing things for the user.
On 26 September, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said the company is building Copilot into "a whole new operating system for work." The information gateway inside enterprises is converging on the same place.
The enterprise side is moving in step. On 24 September, enterprise security firm Island announced a $400m Series F at a $6.4bn valuation, more than double its 2024 level. The company started in enterprise browsers and has expanded into identity, access permissions, data boundaries, cost control and behaviour auditing for AI agents, with annual recurring revenue doubling every fiscal year since 2022. The lesson: when enterprises bring agents in, the first thing to fix is not features but boundaries.
Customers' assistants are getting more capable, and enterprises are accumulating more assistants of their own. The question wedged in between is how others find you, and why they should trust you.
A search box gives a list; an assistant gives an answer
For the past two decades the logic of customer acquisition was clear: customers typed keywords into a search box, and you fought for position on the results page. Keywords, rankings and platform recommendation slots all grew around that logic.
Assistants change the shape of the result. When a customer asks one to find a packaging factory that can handle small-batch custom work, it does not return ten pages of blue links. It returns an answer: one or two names, or simply its own synthesised account. Position shifts from "what rank" to "whether you are mentioned," from click-through rate to citation rate.
The more practical question is: how does the assistant know what you do? From the content it reads. If a company has only a few product images and a vague homepage introduction, it looks like a blur to an assistant.

We think what needs preparing next is not more keywords but more material that can be read and cited: what you do, where you are, how long delivery takes, what the minimum order quantity is, how quotes are calculated. These are concrete facts, and they are sentences that can be quoted directly.
And they have to be produced continuously. Assistants answer long-tail questions, one question to one piece of content, and two articles a month written by hand cannot keep up.
How to put this into practice
Content capacity can be handed to a tool. SHEYU AGENT splits the work into two layers: 16 industry strategists, each covering a professional direction, and 34 zero-threshold tools covering Xiaohongshu image-and-text posts (a Chinese content community), AI posters and copywriting, producing finished output in one click. Desktop, mobile and web: log in once and use it everywhere.
It solves the specific problem above: turning business facts continuously into content that can be read and cited, rather than leaving an owner staring at a blank document after a long day. Where to publish that content and how to turn it into an asset of your own is a longer subject.
The gateway will not change overnight. But by the time it has, it is usually too late to start.
